"MY BEST PHOTO EVER THOUGH IS USUALLY THE LAST ONE I SHOT!" DISCOVER MORE ABOUT A SPECIAL PHOTOGRAPHER.
Who is Markus?
I am an artist who took awhile to find my medium. I liked taking pictures as a kid, but I didn’t think about being a photographer until I was much older – after I had been a writer and a graphic designer. At some point it became the only thing I cared about doing.
Authenticity, simplicity, connection, having my mind blown.
Best photo ever.
I can’t pick one, that’s too hard. My best photo ever though is usually the last one I shot!
My favorite camera was a Leica M6. I miss it – I should get another one. Shooting with it made me feel like a million bucks.
A kind of intuitive free for all. But really just the technique of doing – I keep doing it and doing it so I have a feel for what is possible in any given situation and can be open to something unexpected.
A person, living or dead, to portrait.
David Bowie. I have a few questions for him.
Waking up in the sand in Mexico and realizing I could stay one more week.
Selfie: what do you think?
Not my thing, but it’s definitely a thing, and why the hell not? People are the center of their own worlds.
Next photo series.
More story elements in scenes, maybe with actual humans. All at night of course!
Cinematography, painting, artists who push it to the end of the line, the minds of children – their creativity is the most beautiful thing in the world.
Keep finding and opening new doors in my heart and brain.
