REDMILK MEETS A DELICATE AND VINTAGE PHOTOGRAPHER FROM BARCELONA. HE IS A TOTALLY REAL DREAMER THAT BELIEVES IN KARMA AND HE CANNOT STAY WITHOUT HIS ANALOG CAMERA. HIS FAVORITE SEASON IS SUMMER: FIND OUT WHY.
Describe yourself with three adjectives.
Sensitive, adventurous, dreamer.
What’s your relationship with photography?
Since I was a child I have loved the beauty of images. To portray a scene in still form has always been fascinating to me. When I started to create a scenography it was super fun. I was always in Love with my parents photo albums, all those memories captured. When I contemplated those pictures I dreamed about it and the photos bring me back to that time. I am very grateful for the existence of these pictures. I have since promised myself to capture as many moments as such. At 19 years old and I moved to Berlin, where I started to shoot using an analog camera. I Remember my friend Milena helping me to change the films and encouraging me to continue using analog. I always waited in excitement to develop the photos. To hold the finished result in my hand, always brought happiness.
Your photos represent beauty, vintage soul and daily life. It seems to be in a time machine, how do you create this atmosphere?
I believe in this life there is a pre laid destiny and also Karma, but I do my best to bring harmony to everything and surround myself with positive. I try always to move energy to spaces, people, experiences, things that give me joy and inspire me. Life has given me many beautiful moments and some of them I have captured, with analog.
How do you usually get your inspiration?
On a happy day sharing time with nice people and in a great place. But, also in time of sadness, when everything is more introspective and the melancholy changes gives everything a more poetic view. But surroundings are the most crucial for me to get inspiration.
Your models always show a sense of sensuality, soft nude and sweetly provocative. What do you think about that?
Most of my photos are taken in summertime. A season, when people to like to show more skin and wear less clothes. This is a time of year when we are more happy and we are less afraid to show our selfs. In these moments, my pictures acquire a model who fits with the deliciously of this provocative matter.
What is love for you?
Everything…. From the peace in the world, the creation and the magic of life.
Where is the most fascinating place you have been?
It is a secret.
Would you like to be someone else from the past just for one day?
I would like to be a lot people.. Actually I would say that could be a roll of the dice. I would take that opportunity and the chance to play the characters as well as I could. Learning from them and looking for different views of life. But being my parents or my grandparents, would be something very special.
Are you working on a new project?
I`m remodeling and renovating an old Mallorquin Possession, which is predicted to be an art gallery.
What’s your plan of today?
I had a breakfast in a village where I use to live near the sea, rocks and ruin outside for the afternoon. When it became dark I went into the forest, where I called my life partner, who currently lives in Germany to tell him good night. At home I had dinner with candle light and music echoing through the house. In bed, I plan to finish a book (EL JILGUERO ) by Donna Tartt.
