WHO IS THE YOUNG FASHION DESIGNER WHO, STILL A STUDENT OF CENTRAL SAINT MARTIN, HAS ENCHANTED THE FASHION INDUSTRY WITH HER GENDER FLUID STYLE, A BIT ROMANTIC BUT ROCK?
Talent is the uncommon intellectual ability associated with genius and the personification of talent is Harris Reed, a young designer who is enchanting the fashion world. 21 years and many dreams that, even before the end of his studies at Central Saint Martin, have begun to come true.
American father and English mother, this guy has grown up with two world views, Los Angeles and London, which in many ways have shaped his way of seeing and creating.
All started with his collaboration with Harry Styles, for which he made his outfits for the tour. Since then, Reed has captured the attention of the fashion world, but what makes his style special?
Defined as a “designer who creates conversation” his clothes are inspired by the current social and political climate and issues, remaining true to his gender-fluid style.
His talent has not gone unnoticed: he had collaborations with DAZED, Vogue Italy, LOVE Magazine, Interview, i-D, Another Man, alongside brand as Alexander McQueen, Burberry and Gucci., only to name a few.
His dresses are a mix and match of glam rock , androgynous style, with a Victorian style re-enactment, everything with a provocative femininity.
Unique in its genre this young artist doesn’t want to create clothes but wants to do something more: start a dialogue about the fluidity of gender and the relationship with the fashion world. Reed’s path is on the rise, not only as a designer but also as an important voice in this world. Recently, in fact, he has also collaborated with Alessandro Michele, for whom he has appeared during the Gucci Cruise 19 Collection.
The future of this young designer? Surely bright, we just have to follow his journey.
