WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT THE UNITED STATES, YOU OFTEN FANTASIES ABOUT THE MAJESTY OF ITS METROPOLIS, WITH HIGH-IMPACT SKYSCRAPERS AND STREETS FULL OF PEOPLE. BUT THE LIGHTS AND CHAOS OF THE CITIES ARE NOT THE ONLY ELEMENTS THAT CHARACTERISE THE COUNTRY WITH STARS AND STRIPES.
Usually a few kilometres away from the big centres you have the feeling of having totally changed country, and suddenly you are surrounded by immense open spaces with country roads that point to the horizon and motels that reminds some horror movie.
Sure enough, America traveled by car or train gives panoramas that people doesn’t expect to see, places that seem abandoned, that actually find their charm in being forgotten by the time.
We decided to pay a tribute to those forgotten spaces with a gallery of selected photographers who owe their success to this face of the United States that not everyone is used to see.
