ADRIAN SKENDEROVIC IS BORN AS COPYWRITER AND PRAISES COLLABORATION WITH IMPORTANT CUSTOMERS . HE LOVES WRITING, AND STREET PHOTOGRAPHY. REDMILK MEETS THE ARTIST OF MANY FACETS.
Why do you love photography?
I’m working as Creative in the advertising industry, I work everyday with talented photographer and directors that inspired me to produce my own artistic projects outside commercial purpose.
Do you follow specific steps when you decide to capture the object of your shots?
I try to not think too much when i shoot but i think a lot during the editing process. I start frequently new series ideas thanks to only one random image. After, I try to fill that idea with images and after few month, or few years, i look back, and i decide if i have enough material to create a strong body of work. It takes time to have a clear view on your work, I think it’s a good thing to explore different options.
You shoot often in metropolitan environments. Why this choice?
I live in the city, so the city is my everyday playground. But I would love to travel more often to exoctic places, it’s always inspiring to shoot stuff that you are not use to see.
Have you ever thought to shift attention to other places, perhaps more wild and natural?
How was born the “Down The River” project?
Walking over a bridge spanning the river Seine, I saw a boat full of tourists passing underneath, and spontaneously decided to snap a photo. When I got home that night and saw the picture, I decided the perspective was worth exploring further. The colors of the boat, the behavior of the people, the unexpected point of view were good stuff to explore.
What are your next projects?
I planned to make zines or publications about few projects that are on my website. I really want to make a art book, where the design fits the idea and adds something.
Who would you like to collaborate with?
I would love to collaborate with my good and talented friend Axel Morin : @axelmorin75 on Instagram.
