PRADA FOUNDATION PRESENTS "THE BOAT IS LEAKING. THE CAPTAIN LIED” IN VENICE. A PROJECT BY ALEXANDER KLUGE, THOMAS DEMAND AND ANNA VIEBROK POWERED BY UDO KITTELMANN, FROM 13 MAY TO 26 NOVEMBER 2017.
The exhibition is a reflection on the present we live that will be presented at the Ca’ Corner della Regina in Venice. The exhibition project was born thanks to the creative minds of the writer and filmmaker Alexander Kluge, the artist Thomas Demand, production designer and costume designer Anna Viebrock and curator Udo Kittelmann.
The exhibition will include film and photographic works, spatial environments and loans from public and private collections. The languages covered during the course will include cinema, art and theater. The exhibition tries to give meaning to everyday life and to the worlds of yesterday and today, suspended between normalcy and catastrophe, in a world divided between life force and loss of confidence, between anguish and hope without limits.
