MFW FALL WINTER 2017-18 –ERIKA CAVALLINI FW
To destroy the classic by using the classic, to deconstruct and reassemble. This seems to be Erika Cavallini’s mantra, as for her FW17 collection she brought on the catwalk an array of trench coats with a traditional flavor, but completely renewed in the shapes, deconstructed, cut in half, torn to pieces and sewn together in the sleeves of other trench coats, in large ruffles, and in skirts that open into a deep slit on the front revealing the classic checkered motif. The result is a very feminine and innovative collection, which combines mustard or aquamarine sophisticated and fluid floral dresses, shiny sequined dresses and skirts, turtlenecks that cover the face up to the eyes and off-the-shoulders sweaters, with jackets and trench coats in all shades of beige that reinterpret the traditional proposing deconstructed silhouettes.
