LFW FALL WINTER 2017-18 – CLIO PEPPIATT
For FW17 Clio Peppiatt draws inspiration from “Romeo and Juliet” and explores the idea of romance and love story at the time of millennials, who are used to talk and find love through their iPhones. Immersed in a colourful set that recalls the 80s clubs, the models shuffle between selfies and old televisions, sporting fluorescent eye shadow and mascara like true cyber girls and wearing satin overalls with a street lux feel and neo-romantic tulle dresses. The real standouts, though, are the patches and embroideries: hearts stabbed by a knife, hands holding a flower, petals and tiny mice which appear on dresses, tops and accessories and which in style are reminiscent of old school tattoos. The colour palette is filled with bright colours, ranging from red to fuchsia, from yellow to pale blue, creating a quirky and fun mix.
