CHLOE NØRGAARD

REDMILK HAS INTERVIEWED CHLOE NØRGAARD, MODEL, NATURE LOVER AND FESTIVAL GOERS. HERE, WE SHARE WITH YOU HER INTERESTS, PROJECTS AND HOPES FOR THE UPCOMING YEAR.

redmilk_chloe_imgWhich has been the most stirring project you’ve worked on this year?

Wildflower boom is an initiative I started with my friend Cole.  In short, we want to help the bees and add more color  and nature to our surroundings (especially in cities). We have done some collaborations with brands and are working on a couple more as well as getting involved with festivals and hopefully also starting our own, other than planting flowers where we can. The basis is the environment which needs our help NOW. If any creative’s reading this want to be involved for sure hit me up on my or wildflowerbloom’s Instagram! With the festival we also have an aspect of mental health and art therapy, which I have been studying in school for a while now, and is something else I find important.

Did you fall in love with somebody or something that really got your attention this year?

I think that instead of being in love with someone else I need to date myself right now ;)

The most exciting trip you went on this year?

Oh man. I was just in the rainforest in Costa Rica which was stunning. Then went to Panama and stayed on this tiny island where I had a diving board from my bedroom! Got to see sloths and other wildlife. Most places I have been staying lately are sustainable and green, lots to learn and share about :)

Which is the most interesting event you attended this year? (Festival, concert, premiere, art exhibition…)

My friends from New York threw a festival called The Tempest on a farm in Massachusetts, a bunch of great music, lights, nature, food, and awesome people.

How do you relax?

Painting, reading, playing tetris, eating, watching Modern Family…

What’s the image (a painting, a photo, a movie frame, etc…) that had the biggest impact on you this year?

I made a collage on one of my walls for wallpaper, was a fun and meditative experience. Kind of a gradient of the world, colors, life.. Was a tough time for me so the creativity really helped.

Tell us something more about your culture:

– favorite artwork: I love Marc Quinn’s Eye of History series as well as his Garden and Flower Paintings. I also love Damien Hirst’s butterfly mosaics.

– favorite book: Rant by Chuck Palahniuk

– favorite record cover: The Piper at the  Gates of Dawn by Pink Floyd

– favorite film poster: Belle du Jour

– favorite tv show: Utopia

The last thing: it’s almost 2017, what do you want to make happen?

I want the planet to flourish again, I want people to care about it and do what they can to help. And rather simply, just love it each other with open arms and work together.
