Over the last few years, to really understand and practice the eye contact art, specific groups have developed true relational movements: contact tests to look into the eyes, understand each other and get to one of the greatest experiments of the globe. The Eye contact experiment is a human and social experiment born in Australia that is spreading around the world. It’s turned to reconnect the essence of the people through a non-verbal communication through looks to counter the gray veil of apathetic indifference of our cities, to get into real contact with others. Marina Abramović in 2010 has experimented The eye contact in her performance art at MoMA in New York: here for seven hours a day she was static while in front of her people pass trough and with just one look had reactions from euphoria to tears. This technique nowadays has become for many very important, to create a human contact in a place.
THE EYE CONTACT IS AN ART THAT IS IN ALL OF US: OUR EYES SAY MORE THAN OURSELVES CAN SAY BUT UNFORTUNATELY NOWADAYS IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO MEET THE OTHER'S GAZE. THE OTHER PERSON BECOMES AN OBSTACLE IN OUR PATH, NOT A CHANCE OF MEETING.
