ONCE AGAIN MILAN FASHION WEEK PRESENTATIONS ARE BACK, AND WE WILL UPDATE THE GALLERY EVERY DAY WITH DETAILS AND TOTAL LOOKS SEEN DURING #MFW
Calcaterra welcomes us into a space dedicated to a sophisticated woman. His clothes are made with exclusive materials – what strikes us about his collection is the obvious research for balance in both shapes and volumes.
Co|Te is a perfect blend of white, denim and androgyny, that between the lines winks at the botanical world.
The Koyaanisqatsi collection by designer Lee Wood of L72 is inspired by the homonymous film by Godfrey Reggio and by the chaos of the modern world. He made his collection a metaphor of the American dream. The fabrics are simple: cotton, silk and viscose. White, black oil, red and beige are the predominate shades. The embroideries, precious graphic details hand-sewn on delicate organza, express the subtle balance between power and fragility.
Casadei PE 2017 collection key word is hedonism. The ’80s return with futuristic hints: heels become techno, leather becomes metallic like a robot. The design of the shoes is accurate, sophisticated and elegant – a must-have for special occasions.
Fratelli Rossetti collection aims to a casual and composed elegance. Moccasins are the main protagonists, available in a wide range of colors. Those are shoes for a woman who wears soft, light and comfortable clothes and – at the same time – stand out even without wearing high heels.
Anna K, barely twenty years old, presents her spring/summer collection in Milan showing just few outfits worn by herself and her closest friends. Her intriguing style is characterized by ruffles, bows and low-cut back.
Santoni welcomed guests in a maze of shoes, reflected on mirrors. A peculiar interpretation of glamour as “private and personal indulgence”. Inspired by Marrakech’s atmosphere, the collection insists on color schemes (green, amber, brown and ultraviolet) and materials (python, calfskin and suede), seen on the wedges as patterns and on sandals on beaded embroidery.
“Metropolis Jungle” by Furla focuses on a glamorous jungle whose protagonists are prints of plants and exotic animals.
Damir Doma isn’t your average designer but also a poet. Every dress is like a verse: Tormented, cheerful, eclectic, lively, minimalist. His poem makes no distinction between man and woman, but it’s about words sometimes “whispered”, sometimes “shouted”. Oversized clothes, transparent jackets, rings used instead of piercings are the elements of a unique style.
Sansovino 6 presentation doesn’t need models or clothing. It’s a nymphs dance, moving to the music according to the designer wishes.
Coliac presents few elements, but rich of details. Innovative shoes that recall everyday life through details as the “grandma comb” or the engagement ring set on the sandal. All in the name of vibrating colors such as yellow, pyrite green, red and blue, without definitely abandoning black.
Bulgari’s collection is the perfect combination of aggressiveness and stillness. On one hand we are fascinated by the snake, symbol both of the brand and sin, on the other hand we’re enchanted by the flower, symbol of spring.
Paula Cademartori offered a breakfast of delicious novelty in the heart of Via Montenapoleone. The menu included bags with removable buckle, shoes with carved heels as small architectural works and pointed ballet flats. Everything is characterized by the usual cheerful geometric games of the brand.
Erika Cavallini is that kind of designer who aims to narrate her own experience through her clothes. Imagining the models as “combat troops”. Protagonists of a battle for love, for life, for beauty, for emotions. For S/S 2017 she presents an elegant woman wearing flowered pants, long skirts with pointed shoes, men’s jackets, shaped and long dresses, military suits and plaid shirts.
The “Resort” collection by Rossella Jardini it’s like an explosion of bright colors. The designer proposes a woman from another era, always elegant both in town and on vacation. Tops, wide ruffled skirts, shift dresses, one shoulder pieces and Esther Williams’ inspired bonnets are the main pieces.
1 kg of ice-blue eyes, 3 ml of androgyny, 2 tablespoons of layering, a pinch of minimalism, 5g of plain colour (or 3g of stripes) are the ingredients to obtain the perfect collection of Linda Calugi, Ramponi award winner and designer of Twins e Florence.
Aika Jaxybai designer of Aika Alemi, focuses her collection on individual beauty and femininity inspired by European and Kazakh culture.
Benedetta Bruzziches called her collection “The Big Wave” as the plexiglass bag which aim to traspose the perfect wave.
