THE 69th EDITION OF THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL OPENED YESTERDAY WITH THE VERY MUCH AWAITED FILM “CAFE SOCIETY” DIRECTED BY WOODY ALLEN, WITH KRISTEN STEWART AND JESSE EISENBERG IN THE LEADING ROLES. BUT IS THE SELF SHOW-OFF TO ATTRACT THE STRONGER CONSENT OR THE HARSHEST CRITICISM INSTEAD OF THE MOVIES
Is “Red Carpet time” and everything that goes with it: pretending at least TO BE partly interested in movies, in and out of competition, experimental cinema or next to become a huge success, strolling down like it’s a catwalks, on the most desired red carpets, sipping cocktails at the most exclusive parties, giving the best interpretation of themself in front of the flashes in order to be choosen for the title of the “Croisette diva” for once or for life. Feeling observed and feeling adored are the goals of each edition.
We chose five women, and their six red carpet looks, comparing them to work-of-arts, movie frames, or simple inspirations:
