BEST HIGHLIGHTS FROM MAISON ET OBJET 2016

MAISON ET OBJET, THE FRENCH CAPITAL'S BIANNUAL SHOWCASE OF NEW FURNITURE, FABRICS, KITCHENWARE AND ALL MANNER OF HOUSEHOLD TRIMMINGS, TOOK PLACE LAST WEEKEND IN PARC D'EXPOSITION IN THE NORTH OF PARIS

From this year’s multinational design event here’s some of the most exciting interior design trends 2016: from home accessories to new furniture pieces, have a look to our selected highlights: born in France, designed in Mailand, produced in Nepal, all CC-TAPIS rugs are completely handknotted by expert Tibetan artisans in Nepal: we particularly like Chiara Andreatti capsule collection for the brand. An evergreen: BLACKBODY, the residential OLED lighting company and a member of the French ASTRON FIAMM group. Located in Toulon, France, the company develops and produces innovative OLED based lighting solutions in the fields of technical and residential lighting: these light sources extra flat, light, not heat inducing, in the form of slabs can be designed and shaped. A table by MERIDIANI that interprets tradition with contemporary style. Simple, pure lines suggest a new luxury, sophisticated yet natural and relaxed. We liked ‘fish & fish’ by italian designer Paola Navone for Serax: Navone draws her influences from the culture and everyday lives of the many countries that she visits, emphasizing this time on products manufactured in the united states during the great depression of the 1930s. And also Rina Menardi, that has been developing her research into the field of ceramics, personalising work techniques, exploring colour schemes, striving for neatness of shape, presented at MO16 a nice series of vases.
