BENJAMIN CLEMENTINE PERFORMED IN MILAN 5 DAYS AFTER THE TRAGIC ATTACK IN PARIS. THE CROWD IN THE AUDITORIUM WAS SILENT, PRETENDING NOT TO THINK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED. BUT AS SOON AS CLEMENTINE WAS ON STAGE, HIS BILLOWING VOICE GOT TO THE HEART, ASTONISHING AND EMOTIONAL.
Clementine performed either solo at his piano that night or accompanied by his talented drummer Alexis Bossard. 26-year-old North Londoner now won the Mercury Prize and here’s our gallery from that night.
Photographed on October 18th by Fabrizio Consoli at Auditorium Fondazione Cariplo, Milan.
