HEIKE WEBER IS A GERMAN ARTIST THAT BECAME FAMOUS FOR HER INSTALLATIONS IN MOVEMENT WHERE SHE IS ABLE TO TRANSFORM BASIC AND FEATURELESS SPACES IN SOMETHING ALIVE, CREATING THREE-DIMENSIONAL ENVIRONMENT INCLINED TO INTERACT WITH ANYONE WHO COMES INTO CONTACT
Her works are made with only the use of permanent markers with which she draws simple shapes on sheets of paper which then makes it permanent, repeating the process on any flat surface of selected environment. Her technique allows to control the white space between the lines, creating a new natural world in motion. What is unique about Weber’s work is this three-dimensional effect that results from meticulous wave signs creating a surprising dynamic effect of the environments, remembering the waves ondulation.
A flux of lines that intertwine and follow each other, creating a realization that is a continuous evolution that tends to enchant the viewer. Weather, geography and the environment become the coordinates to find the personal, private and inner artist’s world. Tying her vision of the antique and ambience plunges us into a new contemporary artistic context.
