For many of us, the first hot days also mean the first weekends at the beach, longing to enjoy the first sun.
The sun is synonymous with health and beauty, but it is important to pay attention to photo-protection. In order to be effective sunscreens need to be applied about twenty minutes before exposure, also taking care to protect covered areas of skin.
The choice of the right protection depends on the individual skin type. Those with light eyes, fair skin and blonde hair, for example, are more susceptible to UV damage, while those with dark hair, dark eyes and an olive skin type are less susceptible, that is to say, they are less likely to burn.
Here are some tips:
Australian Gold Lotion SPF 30: suitable for skin types which have had little sun exposure, in a range of three protection levels: 15, 30 and 50. Face and Body Sunscreen by California Baby is a fresh herbal extract which is also water resistant, while the Kalleis line with Apalight (international patent classification – IPC) are avant-garde creams that protect up to 18% more than traditional sunscreens; available in medium, high and very high protection. Bioderma Solari Photoderm Spot SPF 30 is a cream that offers maximum skin protection, specific for hyper pigmentation (brown spots), while Photoderm SPF30 Spray for Sensitive Skins is a high protection product that stimulates the skin’s self-defence system. Caudalie Soleil Divin SPF 30 anti-aging face sun care has an excellent texture and a transparent matt finish.
