We are in love with the furniture sculptures of the Belgian duo Muller Van Severen. Their collection naturally sits between arts and design, concentrated more on the style than function and further suggesting different ways of use of space.
After years of being separate artists, the couple Hannes van Severen and Fien Muller, a sculptor and photographer, respectively, has started to work together when Antwerp’s Valerie Traan design gallery wanted to collaborate in a project with the duo in 2011. Their fall in love with the material, especially polyethlylene, used mainly in the catering industry, combined with simple, unpainted steel tubes in primitive forms, make their work resulting timeless and highly aesthetic.
