There exist strong points in the universe that rest on some of the earth’s important energy lines. In these places healing and revelations take place, and many people find the way to gain access to higher levels of consciousness. These points of energy inspire a feeling of being closer to a higher realm. We, too, as human beings, are able to create this place of strength, which we can have recourse to whenever we need to, in order to heighten our awareness and provide oxygen for our energy.
The temple mudra helps us to “seal” the moment and to gather our spirituality, taking it ever higher. This mudra is particularly recommended at those times when the temperatures are colder and during times of great stress when we feel that our inner strength is giving out.
Bring your hands together in prayer, keep the little fingers, ring fingers and middle fingers together, while the thumbs rest on the index fingers which are bent at right angles. The outer part of the hands and the thumbs are joined together. Massage the sternum with your thumbs for about 30 seconds and then hold this position forming a straight line with the forearms. Breathe slowly, deeply, lightly and rhythmically, concentrating on the heart chakra.
This mudra activates the immune system, gives balance, inner calm and confidence. Breathing becomes deeper and acts in a total sense, since most of the meridian points are stimulated.
Strong places are always associated with specific perfumes, and it is for this reason that when one practises this mudra one should light incense or burn essential oils which are able to stimulate and reawaken our subconscious. Music also helps us to imagine a desirable reality, connecting with our inner self and perceiving the highest vibrations.
So, close your eyes and begin to create your own internal strong point. Sit up and say thank you for what you have, for what you are and for what you can do and give.
Then formulate your prayers and be completely at peace, totally abandoning your soul to breathing and to the power of your vital energy.
