We could ask it at Kim and Kanye West, our Kardashians #bff. AW, in an interview for her Anna Wintour Costume Center at the MET in NYC, has talked to CNN journalist Alina Cho who’s got some pretty amazing tidbits on The Kardashians wedding cover on Vogue USA.
“I see the role of Vogue to reflect what’s going on in the culture” says AW “The first celebrity that I put on the cover of Vogue was Madonna, and that was considered completely controversial at the time, too. It’s such a long time ago probably no one remembers, but she was a very controversial figure” and she ends with the truly true truth “I think if we just remain deeply tasteful and just put deeply tasteful people on the cover, it would be a rather boring magazine!
Nobody would talk about us. It’s very important that people do talk about us”. Do you want a boring magazine? I don’t.
So, she wants to help attracting consumers to the Vogue issue but, at the same time, indirectly, she says that neither Kim nor Kanye are “deeply tasteful people.
What about Italian situation? Any advice to ask to Anna?
