Meditation and yoga are quintessential practices, dating back thousands of years, which help to restore the mind-body balance. According to Indian philosophy, yoga is a darshana: a vision of the world, a way to be and to act, a journey to the discovery of the Self.
It always begins with a mantra, the sound of the Om that enables us to enter into contact with the universe and with the energy of its creation.
This weekend Milan is hosting the ninth edition of YOGAFESTIVAL. This year the theme is Gratitude, a sentiment that should be expressed towards everything around us. A unique experience, able to create a synergy of minds, souls, hearts and bodies.
Three days of activities, from Friday the 10th to Sunday the 12th of October, which will bring together a dynamic community, joyous and sharing. A festival with a large number of focal points: conferences, free yoga classes, vegan cookery classes, and contacts with schools and centres all over Italy.
In a city as chaotic and frenetic as Milan, it is essential to devote some time to oneself, to take a break from daily problems and worries, to focus on one’s own spirit and do everything possible to feel good. Superstudio Più in via Tortona will become the temple where one can take care of one’s soul and connect it deeply to even the smallest parts of the body. Everything becomes unity and cohesion. After years of contamination, experimentation and importation from other countries, here, the great traditions of yoga find themselves together under the same roof.
Moiz Palaci and Renata Angelini, Lisetta Landoni, Walter Thirak Ruta and Antonio Nuzzo, legends in this discipline, will share their experiences, together with David Sye and with Swami Asokanada, the American monk and one of the greatest teachers of Integral Yoga in the world, Thomas Fortel, artist, massage therapist and teacher of Hatha yoga with a keen interest in astrology, and Kristofer Twofeathers, an American Indian scholar and healer who will offer a ceremony of gratitude for Water, a sacred element in Yogic culture. There will be no lack of music and singing, entrusted to groups of excellent musicians coming to grips with the tabla, harmonium, gongs and bells.
We are all part of a plan of harmony, a great design, where our behaviour determines the equilibrium of the universe.
The YOGAFESTIVAL MILANO is the village where one can listen to new voices and know one’s own internal voice. To learn, look, understand and be grateful and appreciative of the energy of the universe.
