Rock in Rio (

23 May – 1 June
Lisbon, Portugal

Festival that started in Rio spread to Spain and Portugal taking over with amazing sound. The line up of Rock in Rio Lisboa for the 5th edition this summer is quite amazing and goes from The Rolling Stones to Linkin Park and Lorde. Based in the beautiful capital city of Portugal you can do some sightseeing inbetween the shows, or let’s be more realistic, you can chill and sleep on gorgeous beaches.

Beale Street Music Festival (

2 May – 4 May
Tom Lee Park, Memphis, Tennessee

This festival happens on the first weekend of May, kicking of a whole month of celebrations and events taking place in Memphis. It is special because it has well known names performing side by side with local acts. Last night of the festival that falls on Sunday is usually most visited as they save the best for last. This year’s line up counts MS MR, Snoop Dogg a.k.a. Snoop Lion, Kid Rock, Dandy Warhols and Pretty Lights.


Sonar (

12 June – 14 June
Barcelona, Spain

Sonar is an international festival of advanced music and new media art. It has been around for quite a while making a name for itself so the list of performers gets better with every year. This year Massive Attack, Lykke Li, Forest Swords, Rudimental and many others will hit the stage. You can enjoy Sonar by Day or Sonar by Night and either one you chose the colorful and energetic city of Barcelona will for sure show you a good time.

Firefly Festival (

19 June – 22 June
The Woodlands, Dover, DE

Starting with the festival’s name it is no surprise that here you can indulge in camping or if you are more a fan of glamour you can go glamping. You can also indulge in yoga,  food trucks and farmers’ market. Besides Artic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Broken Bells and Outkast they offer The Big Break where unsigned bands can apply and the people can vote to get them a chance to perform on stage.


Paleo Festival (

22July – 27 July
Nyon, Switzerland

Paleo festivas is a platform for established names as well as a launching pad for new talents. It is made as a mix of music and carnival so you can always enjoy many interesting things, like circus, happening there. The event is financially independent and organized by volunteers and the aim of the organizing team is to keep the price of tisketd affordable. What more could you need but Thirty Seconds to Mars, M.I.A. and The Black Keys? Are you booking it already?

Splendour in the Grass (

25 July – 27 July
North Byron Parksland, New South Wales, Australia

Splendour in the Grass takes place down under. Australia’s most loved 3-day camping and music even takes place during the australian winter time. It will have the same location as last year at the North Byron Parklands in Byron Bay. London Grammar and Sky Ferreira are among first announced names that will be playing this year.

Open’er Festival (

2 July – 5 July
Gdynia, Gdynia-Kosakowo airport, Poland

Poland’s biggest festival offers many stages and many sounds. You can party for 12 hours straight as the shows go from 4 p.m. till 4 a.m. First Open’er was held in Warsaw but now the location is on the north coast of Poland at the military airport. It is confirmed that this year Jack White, Foster the People, MGMT, Pearl Jam and The Black Keys will rock you out of your socks.


Summer Sonic (

16 August – 17 August
Tokyo and Osaka, Japan

Summer sonic Festival is in Japan in August and it is divided between the cities of Tokyo and Osaka.  Azealia Banks, Artic Monkeys, White Lies and Kasabian are all on the list. Artists usually hit the stage one night in Tokyo and the next one in Osaka, but the line up has certain differences between the cities this year. Regardless of the destination you choose, fun is guaranteed.
