In the evening Friday 28, Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 of March there will be some special events called “CineDreams” organized by the Fondazione Nicola Trussardi (fondazionenicolatrussardi.com).
To light up the Planetarium, starting from 10 pm, the works of Stan VanDerBeek (stanvanderbeek.com), Jeronimo Voss and Katie Paterson (katiepaterson.org) with installations, multimedia projections, sound and video works.
Friday, March 28th, the program starts with the projection of the work that gives the title to the entire festival, Cine Dreams: ‘Cinema of the Future The Mind’ of the American Stan VanDerBeek, with a career in films and experimental animation.
Important example of a blend of art and science, it consists in the simultaneous projection of twenty films in the vault of the Planetarium, on which also flow the projections of the celestial dome. For the presentation of Cine Dreams: ‘Cinema of the Future The Mind’ in Milan, the projections will last eight hours, from 10 pm to 6 am, this is the reason why viewers are encouraged to bring pillows and blankets and to spend the night under the dome of the Planetarium. Here they will be able to experience the individual and unconscious dimension of the dream in a collective context.
Saturday, March 29th will be the turn of Jeronimo Voss, German artist who manipulates, in his installations, historical and scientific material to create new stories of constellations and parallel universes. His work ‘Eternity Through The Stars’ is the projection on the vault of the Planetarium of images taken from ancient astronomical slides representing revolutions of the planets and comets travel in the solar system.
To conclude Sunday, March 30 Katie Paterson will end the program: installations with at the center the vastness of the earth and of the universe. Among Paterson’s installations, Earth-Moon-Earth, which combines distances, sounds and the light of the stars.
