His aesthetic is rational and reductionist. After past experiences, including the creative direction of the brand February, in 2012 Lucio Vanotti established his namesake line for men and women. Native of Bergamo, he aims to remove the superfluous in favour of clean lines and relaxed silhouettes. An intimate dimension that plays with a mix of fabrics, different burdens of materials and surfaces in a rational way. His goal is to subtract his collections from the ever turning wheels of seasonal time, creating natural yet timeless couture garments. Entirely handcrafted in Italy with semi-artisanal production processes, his collections promote a return to innocence and gentle volumes that encompass the body. The Autumn/Winter collection is solid and concrete, animated by the alternation of pure black and white, stiff and fluid fabrics.

Paola Grande’s jewels tell a story of an atelier that has existed for generations, of an aristocratic Naples, but especially of a mother and a daughter. In 2012 Giulia di Pace, after a degree at Naba in Milan and years of experience in Paris, returns to Naples in order to revamp her mother’s atelier, Paola Grande Gioielli. Eventail, Nastri, Entropia are the names of the collections: fan-like shapes where the worked metals become soft plissé or sinuous lines of the necklaces and three-dimensional pieces made of minerals and metals of the third collection. Entirely handmade using goldsmith techniques, the creations of this young designer bring back to life raw materials in unusual and narrative combinations. Necklaces, bracelets, earrings in burnished silver, bronze, quartz or labradorite evoke symbolic universes and noir atmospheres in a seductive way.

The shoes as a vehicle to present ourselves, a visual journey of who we are and what we like. The creations of the label Purified moves from this assumption. Founded in 2012 by Dominic Webster and Simon Lee with the aim to establish a creative hub of open-minded and inspiring people, the brand promotes an approach to footwear that embraces timeless shapes and quality, but with a contemporary and fresh twist. Boots, loafers, flatforms, in fine leathers and manufactured according to traditional shoemaking techniques, are designed for women who follow feelings rather than opinion. Their inspirations? Abstract Expressionism, Fluxus, Postal Art, Bauhaus, Punk and Visual Kei as well as various subcultures within music and art movements.
