WILLIAM WEGMAN: HELLO NATURE

The love for nature and the relationship of our culture with it is the subject of a visual and aesthetic work of thirty years.

The exhibition “Hello Nature“, open until September 29th, 2013 at Artipelag (artipelag.se) in Stockholm, explores the work of William Wegman (wegmanworld.com), not only through his pictures, now famous all over the world, but also with paintings, drawings, collages and portraits that are also part of his production.

The exhibition chronicles the life of the artist and his relationship with the places of his childhood, from the landscapes of New England to the Lake Rangeley, in Maine. At the show it’s also possible for the visitor to admire the wonderful pictures with the beautiful and elegant dog Weimar, which gave the author the title of “dog guy“.

Born in Holyhoke, Massachusetts, in 1943, the photographer is also the author of several books, including the best – selling “Puppies” (1999).

He recently collaborated with Acne Studios (acnestudios.com) for the spring/summer 2013 collection.
