1205 by Paula Gerbase – UK
Sartorial, relaxed, minimal…
Her work explores the balance between masculinity and femininity, playing with proportions, cuts and fabrics. 1205 is a refined tailoring mix, a unisex collection established by Paula Gerbase in 2010. Brazilian born-London based designer, after her graduation from Central Saint Martins, she took up a Savile Row apprenticeship in couture tailoring where she learned the secrets of the traditional construction techniques. 1205 is her date of birth and the label is synonymous with high quality fabrics and tailoring, but in a relaxed way. For the Autumn/Winter season she draws inspiration from “Recits de Voyage”, a collection of images and writings of a Swiss journalist who travelled through the Middle East, US and Europe between the 30’s and 40’s.

Erik Bjerkesjo – Sweden
Thoughtful, austere, mysterious…
Classic shoes reinterpreted in a post-modern way. Erik Berkesjo’s aesthetic is minimal and austere, a thoughtful mix that combines fashion, art and craftsmanship. A Swedish born designer, he graduated in Footwear Design at Polimoda in Florence before launching his eponymous clothing and footwear line in 2010. Two custom black box and a wooden almond-shaped sole are the hallmarks of his shoes that follow the shoe-making tradition in a contemporary way. Entirely handmade in Italy by the designer himself and Tuscan craftsmen, the Autumn/Winter collection is tinged with lead and mahogany and characterised by an intriguing yet mysterious allure.
